Monta Ocean King V3: The Perfect Watch?

After buying and selling several watches, I might have found the one that ends the journey. Some that have come and gone include the: BB58, BB54, Omega SM300 (Heritage), Omega PO 39.5, Oris Aquis, Diver's 65, SJE 117, SPB143, and an Aquaracer. The Monta is in the goldilocks of measurements (40.5/47.4/11.7). Quite a bit of the thickness is in the bezel, so it wears considerably thinner than the 58's. SW300 running at 0-+4spd (typically around +2) which is as good as anything I have let go of. Finishing is excellent and once you have a tool-less on the fly micro adjust (i.e., 54/PO) it is hard to go back, particularly if your wrist fluctuates in heat/humidity/after fried pickles.

There is still some meat on the bone in terms of value proposition at $2500 with all you get. The 58 has no tooless adjustment and costs more with similar quality finishing and accuracy. The SJE at ~$2800 msrp seemed to put a lot of the money into the bling factor.... mine was +14 spd and no micro adjust with a cheap feeling clasp. I am down to 3 in the box, and the other two (SPB451 and Citizen Fujitsubo (Ti curiosity)) are both for sale. I am thinking of a Pelagos 39 (except for the slab sided nature, though it is toned down) or something similar with the round indicies...

Just a really well made watch and worth a look if you are in the market for something new. They just came out with a blue version with an aluminum insert in lieu of the ceramic. I do wish they offered a no date version, and I am still in the market for something with round indicies instead of batons but might just get a Lorier/Baltic/Certina to scratch that itch.
